  • Photo Of The Day: Building
    it's a building dammit.

    Living here (in Florida) aggravates the hell out of me. The architecture is cheesy 2nd rate art deco in hideous colors (mostly pink and green pastels, feel free to vomit). All the old buildings have been razed or renovated. Everything is constantly renewed. There's nothing good to photograph as far as locations or architecture. I mean, how many photos of the ocean, the beach, some field with trees in it, the construction sites and the rare as a diamond building with interesting architecture can you take? No one wants to see 50 photos of the same building or location. Arrgh.
    I only have one model to work with (my girlfriend), and honestly, I don't know if I'd feel comfortable working with another one.
    I desperately need a photo expedition/road trip.

  • go to savannah!!!!! seriously, if you haven't been there it's so worth the trip. or charleston south carolina.....maybe it was the circumstances of being there, but both places touched me in amaaaaaaazing ways. so wonderful!! watch 'midnight in the garden of good and evil' to see what i mean.....and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

  • why don't you take photos of the cheesy deco from "normal" angles and let us see it?

  • in which case, you should most definitely take that road trip to midori's... but you must must must stop off in new york, even if it's not on your way. there is SO MUCH stuff around here that I don't mind looking like a tourist and snapping off photos at everything in sight only to discover that the image is crappy anyway...

  • You could always try taking dance classes.  The girls there tend to adore having their pictures taken.  I have so many to choose from, I'm even willing to share.  Just with you, though.  And Midori (she's hot).

  • You're always welcome in Tennessee, Rich. And Knoxville has more than it's share of the opposite type of building... old, abandoned, dilapidated... you'd like it :)

    I could also take ya back in the hollers of Hawkins County....

  • ... i feel sorry for my future child... they will forever be tortured by my camera expierments... put the word out with your friends... then get them drunk... i promise you will have new models!

  • ...or you could take a trip to italy with your girlfriend... very romantic... and too many subjects to do in one trip...
