solaris
saw the commercial for this movie. the subjects of love, loss, longing and redemption hit home way too hard. watching the 30 seconds of this commercial had me feeling like i was suffocating. i had to leave the room. i want to see this movie. i will go alone.

I'd recommend renting the seventies Russian film, directed by Tarkovsky, instead.

you should see the original movie, done is 1972 I believe... its directed by andrei tarkovsky... he was really amazing. stalker is my favorite. he's just mind-blowing, what he could do with pictures and sound. this is the first I've heard that someone redid it...
